Auckland, ami is leased iii) a year-to-year tenancy. Improvements mm on domain: Grassing. Used for grazing. Aratapv Domain. Section No. 12, Kopuru Parish. Area, II acres I rood c> perohes. [.eased. The Board proposes to do good work during the ensuing year. Arawa Park Domain. Section Xo. 23, Rotorua Rural Sections. Area, 46 acres 3 roods 17 perches During the year the domain was further improved by the jockey and football clubs. It hns been decided to lease the area for grazing purposes.

Auckland Domain. Situated in Kangitoto Survey Distriot. Area, 236 acres I mod. Work dmie during year: Ponds concreted, and surrounded with grass, trees, shrubs, and plants, the whole being enclosed with oak rustic fence; eight tennis-oourts formed; paths metalled; rustic benches and bridges erected; caretaker's bouse altered and improved, new boiler inserted, and hot-water service improved: new staging erected in greenhouse, glass frames procured; bush house erected; potting-.shed and lean-to enlarged; a rough paddock converted into a nursery; and cricket-pavilion painted and repaired. Improvements now on domain: Drive, paths, "rustic bridges, fencing, seats, lodge and another residence, two ponds concreted at bottom, rockery, plantation, oaretaker's residence, propagating-house, potting-ehed and boilerhouse, bush house* propagating-frames. nursery and well laid-out grounds, gardens, gates, cricket - ground, pavilion, dressing-rooms, conveniences, tool-shed, and stabling. Used for picnics, sports. orioket, football, hockey, lacrosse, band concerts, and general recreation. Proposed operations for ensuing year ; Grading paths, laying out a further area for sports, extending present gardens with gradual conversion into botanical gardens, and possibly erecting a new lodge. Avondale Domain. Section No. 361, Waikomiti Parish. Area, 38 acres 2 roods. Improvements now on domain: Fences, trees, and 6 acres grassing. Used for picnics and camping. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Repairing fences. Awhitu Domain. Section No. 58c, Awhitu Parish. Area, 8 acres 3 roods 30 perches. Wink done during year : Half-acre cleared, and drain commenced. Improvements nov on domain : Fencing and grassing. Used for picnics. Leased on improvement conditions. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Completing drain. BIKKESHEAD DOMAIN. Section No. 122, Takapuna Parish. Area, 112 acres 2 roods. Six acres leased for grazing. Buffalo Domain. Sections Nos. 31 and 32, Village of Buffalo. Area, 20 acres I rood 39 perches. Work done during year: Substantial fence along road boundary put up, and gates erected and painted. Improvements now on domain : Fences, gates, and approaches. (sed for sports, picnics, football, cricket, and general recreation. It is proposer! to obtain advice during the ensuing year regarding a scheme for generally beautifying the domain and making it a popular resort. Cambridge Domain. Sections Nos. 576, 359, 360, 361, 361 a, 367, 581, 578, r>79. 363, 363 a, 364, 366, 366, 368, 370, Town of Cambridge East, and the Cambridge Easl Town Belt. Area. 184 acres 1 rood 7 perches. Work done during year : Land on the lower levels sown in grass and leased : an area cleared, ploughed, sown in grass, and leased; trees thinned and others planted; pavilion painted; trees labelled;' and grounds generally improved. A new ground for football and cricket is in course of preparation. Section No. 23, Block I, Naseby Survey District. Area, 120 acres. Improvements now on domain : Grandstand, offices, racing-track, and fences. Used for racing. Ocean Beach Domain. Sections Nos. part 28 and 31, Block VII, Otago Peninsula Survey District, and 4 and 6, Block XII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey Districts. Area, 221 acres 2 roods 11 perches. Steady progress has been made in connection with this domain during the year. The road to the beach at St. Kilda has been extended and widened, the new portion being covered with rotten rock. The entrance from Beach Street, St. Clair, to the beach has been improved by the erection of steps, the material and expert labour being provided by the Dunedin City Council. A septic tank and conveniences have been erected at the baths. Scrub and wire fencing and planting grass have also been done. A new track, about 30 chains in length, has been cut, and a pathway made through the lupins on the old lagoon-site, the formation being of sand, covered with rotten rock. To the right and left of this path are hollows and dunes. The latter will in due course be levelled, and will form part of the Marine Park, which will be sheltered in all weathers. The Board has made inquiries regarding hot salt-water baths, and will proceed with the erection of two forthwith, increasing the number later on if found to work satisfactorily and the public requires them. Fencing and grass-planting will be carried on during the ensuing year, and the matter of tree-planting will also receive attention.
