Kaikoura Domain. Sections Nos. 410, Town of Kaikoura, 2 of 267, Suburbs of Kaikoura, and 2, 346, and 349, Block X, Mount Fyffe Survey District. Area, 101 acres 1 rood 2 perches. Work done during year : Cycle-track improved and a substantial fence erected along one side and partly round each end, and trees planted. Improvements now on domain : Two asphalt tennis-courts, conveniences, cycling-track, plantations, and fencing. Used for races, cycling, sports, cricket, tennis, hockey, gun-club matches, and as a rifle range. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Topdressing portion of domain within cycle-track and sowing it down in grass, planting trees, and forming concrete cricket-pitch. Monkey Face Domain. Section No. 5, Block 111, Hundalee Survey District. Area, 333 acres. No improvements effected during the year. The domain is of rough formation, without means of access, and is used for grazing purposes. The fencing is the property of the lessee. Omaka Domain. Sections Nos. 31 and part 2of 33, Block 111, Taylor Pass Survey District. Area, 242 acres. Work done during year : Grounds maintained and plantations attended to. Improvements now on domain: Fencing, drains, and plantations. Used for cricket, football, and sports. An area is leased. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Maintaining and improving grounds, and extending drainage system. Pelorus Domain. Sections Nos. 2.">. Blook VIII, Heringa Survey District, and 66 (Te Hau Island), Block XI, Wakamarina Survey District. Area, 22 acres. Nine acres of the domain is an island in the Pelorus River, subject to floods. The remaining 13 acres is in native bush. Picton Domain. Part of Section No. 1147, Town of Picton. Area, 9 acres 2 roods. Work done during year : Noxious weeds kept down. This domain is steep and rocky. It contains some native bush and an area of about 2 acres suitable for picnics. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Keeping down noxious weeds. Seddon Domain. Section No. 9, Block VII, Town of Seddon. Area, 13 acres 2 roods 3 perches. Work done during year : Ground cleared, trees thinned, plantation made and fenced, trees felled for firewood, and seats procured and placed in position. A quantity of gravel was disposed of. Improvements now on domain : Fencing, plantations, seats. Used for cricket, football, hockey, and picnics. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Erecting pavilion. Waitohi Domain. Sections Nos. 1150 and 1161, Town of Picton. Area, 15 acres 1 rood 15 perches. This domain is under the control of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Blenheim. About eighty or ninety loads of street-scrapings have been placed in the low-lying portions of the domain. The domain is a low flat situated at the point where the Waitohi Stream empties into the head of Picton Harbour, and the greater portion of it is subject to flooding by tidal waters.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT. Apiaura Domain. Sections Xos. 12, Block I, Ahaura Survey District, and 30, Block XIII, Mawheraiti Survey District. Area, 100 acres. Work done during year : Thirty-seven and a half chains fencing erected. Improvements now on domain : Fences, booths, racing-track, ploughing, and grassing. Used for general recreation and trotting. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Planting trees and repairing fences. Blackball Domain. Reserve No. 1237, Block 11, Mawheranui Survey District. Area, 7 acres. An area of about 2 acres has been stumped and cleared. Sufficient timber and iron for s. shelter-shed was purchased, but shortness of funds prevented its erection. Improvements now on domain : Felling and stumping. Not yet used by the public. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Erecting about 42 chains fencing, clearing and stumping 2 acres, grubbing and ploughing 4 acres, erecting shelter-shed, and planting ornamental trees.
