Normanby, Governor. ORDER IN COUNCIL. At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of July, 1878. Present: His Excellency the Governor in Council. In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the three hundred and fiftieth section of " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and upon the request of the Borough of Invercargill, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby order that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby reserved out of the waste lands of the Provincial District of Otago, for the purpose of granting the same to the Corporation of the Borough of Invercargill.
SCHEDULE. All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement one thousand one hundred (1,100) acres, more or less, situated in the Invercargill Hundred. Bounded on the North by a road line, sixteen thousand six hundred (16600) links ; on the East by Crown lands, seven thousand seven hundred and fifty-seven (7757) links; on the South by Crown lands, twelve thousand six hundred (12600) links ; on the West by a road line, four thousand seven hundred and fifty-seven (4757) links; again on the South by Crown lands, four thousand (4000) links; again on the West by Section No. 4 and Crown lands, three thousand (3000) links; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the three hundred and fiftieth section of " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and upon the request of the Borough of East Invercargill, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby order that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby reserved out of the waste lands of the Provincial District of'Otago, for the purpose of granting the same to the Corporation of the Borough of East Invercargill.
SCHEDULE. All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement three hundred (300) acres, more or less, situate in Invercargill Hundred. Bounded on the North by land proposed as endowment for Town of Invercargill, eight thousand four hundred (8400) links; on the East by land proposed as endowment for Avenal, three thousand five hundred and seventy-two (3572) links; on the South by land proposed as endowment for South Invercargill, eight thousand four hundred (8400) links; and on the West by a road line, three thousand five hundred and seventy-two (3572) links; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
