The Committee had before it 110 petitions, including twenty held over from last year. Of these, eighty-three were considered and reported upon; the remainder, twenty-seven, were held over until next year. The Native Land Bill, of 434 clauses, and the Rotoiti Validation Bill were referred to, considered, and duly reported upon by the Committee. The Native Land Bill took up eighteen days' consideration.
