ORDERLY ROOMS.
At their annual meeting the Southland Fusiliers decided to establish an orderly room, and the matter was put into the hands of a committee to carry out the necessary arrangements. The committeemen took up their duties in a most business like manner, and, thanks to the energy displayed by them, a suitable room has been procured and fittted up, and the institution is now agoing concern. The formal opening takes place next Wednesday evening, when a social will be held. An excellent programme of musical and other items has been drawn up, and the secretary assures me that the arrangements for the entertainment will be of a most complete nature. Tickets, price Is 6d, may now be bad from any member of the committee. The City Guards also recognise the necessity of an orderly room, and are now moving in the direction of its establishment.
