FATAL INJURIES
DEATH OF YOUTH (P.A.) GISBORNE, This Day. Gravely wounded in the abdomen on November 21 by the accidental discharge of a .22 rifle, Guetov Frederick Perston Frank (16), of Gisborne, died in hospital this morning. With two companions he camped at Longbush reserve for the week-end. The rifle went off when one of his companions stumbled as he turned to look at an opossum clinging to a nearby tree.
