A.T.C. BALL.

The victory ball of No. 24 Squadron of the Air Training Corps, Ashburton, in the Radiant Hall last night, was a marked success, about 200 couples being present. The hall was gay with flags and coloured lights. Half the proceeds were donated to the building fund of the Returned Services’ Association, and the president (Mr W. G. Welsh) thanked the Corps for its effort. A Monte Carlo was won by Pilot Officer V. E. Meaclem and Miss M. Owen. Music was played by Dabourn’s orchestra, with supper extras by Corporal P. Vincent. Songs were sung by Cadet N. Reid. Masters of Ceremonies were Leading Aircraftman Colin Fitzgerald and Cadet D. Guthrie.
