SUNDAY PICTURES.

Sir, —One of the main reasons why the Ministers’ Association do not want the pictures on Sunday is because they know that most of their congregation will be at the entertainment for patriotic purposes. It is about time the broad-minded people in Ashburton took a vote on the matter, especially when the proceeds from these concerts go to provide comforts for our boys, who have fought and won a bloody war. I am afraid the ministers of Ashburton do not realise that if Hitler and his Gestapo had won the war one of their first acts would have been to destroy the churches. E.R.P.
