MR NASH TO GO BACK. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, August 25. If the Labour Government were returned he intended to request the Minister of Finance (the Hon. W. Nash) to proceed again to Washington to' carry on the splendid work he had been doing for New Zealand there, said the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser) to-day. Not only had Mr Nash established a very close personal friendship with Mr Roosevelt, but also with all those in charge of the United States war effort. Mr Nash Avould retain his position as Minister of Finance and member of the War Cabinet and, Avhen he completed liis mission in Washington which included- the United Nations as Avell as the United States—he would return once more to take up the direction of the country’s finance.
