IN KUBAN AREA.
BOTH SIDES PREPARING.
BERLIN REPORTS ATTACKS. (Rec. 1.40 p.m.) LONDON, April 2S. The Russians have not mentioned any new attack along the whole front, but the Germans assert that the Red Army is again attacking with fresh troops in the eastern sector of the Kuban bridgehead.
The “Daily Telegraph’s” correspondent at Moscow says that little action is reported from the front beyond local raiding by the Russians across the riverline between Rostov and Taganrog. Both sides in the Kuban are preparing for a decisive collision and are massing dumps and regrouping lor struggles at other frontline keypoints next month.
The Berlin radio stated that the Russians in the Kuban resumed attacks with forces from neighbouring sectors. They made several thrusts to the south of the Kuban river, each time in battalion strength, and used strong air forces in support of the attacking troops.
