ATTACK ON MALTA.
A RAIDER DOWN TWO DAMAGED.
BRITISH RAIDS IN AFRICA.

“There Avas enemy activity at Malta yesterday,” states a London bulletin, “Avh.en a number of bombs Avere dropped, but no damage Was caused. Royal Air Force fighters intercepted the enemy, with the result that a CR42 was shot doAvn and rivo so badly damaged that they are unlikely to be able to return to their base.
“Our aircraft in the Western Desert attacked a small enemy column south of Sidi Barrani. Motor transport vehicles were severely damaged and a number of drivers killed. An anti-air-craft battery Avas ' silenced, the ci’cav being killed. “In Italian East Africa, Assab Avas raided, bombs falling close to a large ship, equipped Avith anti-aircraft guns, Avhich Avas in harbour. In other areas numerous reconnaissances Avere carried out and valuable information obtained.”—British Official Wireless.
