RAKAIA PATRIOTIC MEETING. LARGE ATTENDANCE AT SPORTS. The Rakaia Athletic Club’s sports for the Dominion £1,000,000 appeal, were held in bright sunshine before a large attendance yesterday. The Patriotic Committee conducted side-shows and Hid a good business, and the Rakaia Red Cross branch had a produce stall. The sports opened with a parade of school children and sports bodies, marshalled by Mr B. Ziegler. A children’s physical display was given by the Rokeby School, under the direction of Mr Ziegler.
