TrfE flemincton sub-centre. After a most successful session of activities the Flemington Sub-Centre of the Bed Cross Society held its final meeting for 1910 in the Waterton Hall. There was a good attendance of members and other ladies of the surrounding districts who had been invited to join the sub-centre in a social afterH °The visitors wore welcomed by the president (Sirs C. "W. AndoiSQii), übo also gave a resume of the service rendered by the sub-centre during the A vote of thanks was accorded the members of the Waterton Women s Institute, who had forwarded to the Ashburton Centre a supply of bandages, on behalf of the Flemington WubCentro. It was reported that all the seven members who had recently presented themselves for examination in first aid had gained certificates. Finished articles of knitwear were handed in. , On the motion of Sirs Gilmore, who was president of the local sub-centre of the Bed Cross Society during the Croat War, a vote of thanks was passed' to' the president lor the able manner in which slie had conducted A® affairs of the sub-centre. The serving of afternoon tea brought a most enjoyable afternoon to a close.
