RETURNED SOLDIERS APPROVE. A UNANIMOUS RESOLUTION. Unanimous support for the request of the Dominion executive of the Returned Soldiers’ Association for the bringing in of legislation for compulsory, universal national service as required, was given by neajrly 300 returned men at the annual re-union held at Ashburton last night. Several speakers referred to the need for every person to be prepared to do something toward aiding the war effort of New Zealand, and on the motion of Mr J. H. Qrigg, full endorsement of the above request to the Government was given.
