MISSIONARY UNION.
PRESBYTERIANS AT MAYFIELD.
Mrs S. J. Freeman presided over the monthly meeting of the Mayfield Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union, held in that church yesterday afternoon. There was a good attendance and a welcome was extended to a number of members of the Carew Union. Mrs C. Sewell, a delegate to thp conference held in Dunedin recently, gave an interesting report of the meetings she had attended. On the motion of Mrs Edmond she was accorded a vote of thanks.
A missionary competition arranged by Mrs Kingan was won by Mrs AY. N. Turner. , A Christmas plavette was given by the members of the Busy Bees, who have had a successful year’s work under the leadership of Airs Freeman. A stall, Avell lacjen with articles made by the children, was well patronised arid the sum of £1 los was realised. The meeting closed with the pronouncing of the Benediction, aftei which afternoon tea was served.
