Quotations are: — Merinos—7o’s 283 d, 64’s 27d, 60’s 26d. Crossbred —58’s 23d, 56’s 21d, 50’s 17-Id, 50’s 17£d, 46’s 16Jd (nominal), 44’s 16Jd (nominal). GRAIN AND PRODUCE. THE DUNEDIN MARKET. DUNEDIN, September 30. The fowl wheat market is unchanged with stock on thle short side. Values remain unchanged at 6s 6d to 6s 9d a bushel, sacks extra, ex store. Chaff is quiet with values unchanged. Best quality is selling slowly at £6 10s a ton, sacks extra, ex store. Merchants are now drawing most of their supplies from Canterbury. Good quality lines are difficult to obtain. Freshly-picked lines of potatoes are seling at £3 a ton, sacks included. Local distributors are content in the meantime to buy only smal lots and
place them before coming on the market again. All seed markets continue firm ana there has been a fair amount of activity during the week. Both white clover and dogstail have firmed in price following inquiries for export. WHEAT MARKET IN BRITAIN , LONDON, September 29. Wheat cargoes are steadier,. <*iia parcels are quiet.
