THE ASHBURTON MARKET. There was little change of prices at the Ashburton fruit and produce market yesterday. Prices were:— Walnuts —6d and 7d lb. Cauliflowers—6s to 8s a dozen. Swedes—ls 6d sugar hag. Carrots—ls 6d a. sugar-bag. Pickling Onions—2d to a lb. Parsnips—2s a sugar-bag. Cabbages—Bs to 9s a sozen. Cooking Pears —4s to 4s 6d a case. Sturmer Apples—ss to 5s 6d a case. I Chaff—2s 6d to 3s a sack. Potatoes—2s to 2s 6d a sugar-bag or 7s 6d to 8s a sack. Wheat—2os to 21s a sack. Honey—Bd and 9d a lb. Onions—2d and lb. Bacon—lOd to Is a lb. Hams—ls to Is 2d a lb. Leeks—3d a bundle. Seed Potatoes —Early, IJd and 2d a lb. Lettuces—ls 6d to 2s a dozen. Rhubarb—6d and 8d a bundle.
