LARGE ALLOCATION FOR. DEFENCE.

(United Press Association—Copy right.) LONDON, May 20. The Angora correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says that the Turkish National Assembly is considering ■a perfectly balanced budget of £41,500,000,' the highest of the regime. It is allotting £14,500,000 to defence, which, with credits already voted apart from the Budget, will absorb £35,000,000, including £1,250.000 for the navy, principally for submarines.

Transport will be extended and agricultural, mining, and industrial production increased.
