In 1937 exports of British aeronautical material totalled £3,676,493, or £752 more than the previous record total of 1936.

In the closing months of 1937 considerable numbers of high performance military monoplanes were released for sale abroad. Commercial aircraft manufacturers who paid special attention to export business have never been busier.
