ALLENTON DEFEATS METHVEN.
Four rinks from the Allenton Bowling Club played Methven at Allenton on Saturday afternoon, winning three rinks and the match by 92 points to 72. A colts rink was also played, Allenton winning by 19 to 14. Details (Allenton names first): —

In the final of the New Zealand bowling pairs championship R. B. Clarke and C. E. Tyrrell (Roslyn) 28, heat J. R. Smith and H. B. Oakey (Elmwood) 9on the nineteenth green. A play-off for third place between H. Belcher and, E. Long worth (St. Kilda) and P. Delargey and P. Munn (Canterbury) resulted in a win for the latter by 17 tq 15.
NEW ZEALANDERS AT SYDNEY. (Received January 23, 8 p.m.) SYDNEY, January 23. A few games of bowls were played on Saturday between showers and on sodden greens. The New Zealander, W. Bremner, had two consecutive wins, 21-10 and 12-8. The New Zealander, Davis, lost 9-21. Robertson lost 11-21.
