NEW SOUTH WALES TITLES. SYDJvEY, January 23. At the New South Wales athletic championships the chief results were: 220 Yards—J. Mumford 1, T. Hampson 2. Time, 22 3-45. 880 Yards—C. Hall 1, L. Gold 2. Time, 2min 0 3-10 sec. Hop, Step, and Jump.—D. Miller, -18 ft 9-Jin. Pole Vault—W. Cartwright 12ft Tin. Hammer Throw —K. Pardon, 146 ft.

Some of the visiting athletes participated in the invitation handicaps. The 100 vards was won by L. Holmes (England )off scratch, in 10 seconds; the SBO yards by B. Eeles (England) in linin' 57 l-10sec. The hammer throw by Sutherland (Canada), with 154 ft 10Jin, which is an Australian record, and the discus throw by E. Croy (Canada), with 142 ft Tin, whefch is a New South Wales record.
