BAPTIST CHURCH.

SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY. A feature of the annual anniversary services of the Baptist Church Sunday School yesterday was the singing of the children under Mr J. Lewis. At the morning service the Rev. L. P. Bryan spoke on “Christ’s Need of Us,” and in the evening on “The Importance of Decision.” In the afternoon the prizes were presented by Mrs Bryan, and the address given by the Rev. A. Mcßean. The prize-winners were: —Mr O. Bowden’s class, Alan Capon and Cliff Moody (equal) 1, Kevin Meaclem 3; Mr E. Tilley’s class, Bernard Blackie and Denis Meaclem (equal) 1, Arthur Lewis 3; Miss E. Yeoman’s class, M. Meaclem and Edna Blackie (equal) 1; Miss R . Hopkins’s class, June Tijley, Lorna Wakeham, and Nola Kelly (equal) 1; Miss N. Lewis’s class, Olive Dahlberg and Peggy Loy (equal) 1; infant boys, Malcolm Blackie 1, David Norrish 2, Philip Capon and Devey Bird (equal) 3; Mr H. Moody’s class, B. Bowden, Ron Capon, B. Moody and Trevor Capon (equal) 1; infant girls, Ruth Bryan, Joan Capon, Winsome Blackie, and Jenifer Bird (equal) 1. Mr J. Lewis’s class, Reiveley Norrish, Ngaire Armstrong, Pegotty Tucker, and Norma Kelly (equal) 1. Each child in the primary department received a prize.
