ARMED ROBBERY.

HOTEL CUSTOMER SHOT DEAD. (United Press Association —Copyright.) NEW YORK, November 9. Isaac Shean, aged 56, with his wife, entered a fear room for the first time in their lives seeking a medicinal drink. They blundered into four armed invaders in the act of .robbing the customers. Mistaking the performance for a practical poke, Shean attempted to force his way out. He was shot dead with a bullet in the head. This precitated a melee in which robbers, spattering bullets, wounded the proprietor in the leg, and escaped amid a shower of bottles and glasses.
