GALLIPOLI GRAVES.

REPLY TO KING’S MESSAGE. WELLINGTON, Sept. 7. The Governor-General (Viscount Galway), has forwarded the following cablegram to the King in reply to the message sent by his Majesty on the occasion of his recent _ visit to the battlefields and cemeteries on Gallipoli peninsula:— “On behalf your Majesty’s Government in New Zealand, I respectfully beg to express most sincere appreciation of your Majesty’s gracious message of good wishes to the surviving members of the Anzac Corps. Relatives and comrades of fallen men will be deeply grateful for and comforted by your Majesty’s assurance that the graves of New Zealand’s immortal dead at Gallipoli, are well and reverently cared for.”
