WOMEN’S INSTITUTE.

HAMPSTEAD JUNIOR CIRCLE. THE MONTHLY MEETING. At the monthly meeting of the junior circle of the Hampstead Women's Institute there was a large attendance including the committee members of the Senior Institute. A demonstration on the making cf paper flowers was given by Mrs Flatman. The winners of the competition for tapestry were Misses P. Hooper, I. Montgomery, K. Montgomery and W. Cruickshank. The competition for fireside brushes resulted: Misses K. Montgomery, D. Knight and E. Montgomery (equal) 1, Misses E. McKenzie and N. Childs (equal) 2, Miss M. Hunt 3. The evening took the form of a surprise kitchen party for Miss N. Rose, who is to be married shortly. On behalf of members, Mrs H. J. Constable presented Miss Rose with a variety of useful gifts. Miss D. Simpson also presented Mrs Rose with a bouquet- in appreciation of her services to the institute.

Hostesses were Misses R. Watts, I. Ede, J. Edo and L. Graham. Items were given by Misses R. Watts, 1 Ede and N. Smith and the .remainder of the evening was spent in dancing.
