WOMEN’S INSTITUTE.

ACTIVITIES AT TINWALD. Instead of the usual meeting in the hall, the Tinwald Women’s Institute assembled, at the residence of Mr and Mrs G. Clark on Thursday. During the afternoon Mr Clark gave a very instructive demonstration to an apprecitaive audience on the art of pruning. Suggestions were taken for tire Institute birthday party to be held on August 19. Instead of the usual mystery parcels it was decided that all members make sweets for the sale.

Afternoon tea was served in a sunny corner in the grounds. The hostesses were Mesdames Jaine and Hopwood and the Misses P. and N. Clark.
