THE MEN’S SUB-ASSOCIATION. MID-CANTERBURY DELEGATES. Delegates of the Mid-Canterbury Men’s Hockey Sub-Association met last evening, the president (Mr A. C. Vincent) presiding. The secretary reported that no reply had been received from Methven regarding the Association’s suggestion that an exhibition game be played there on; Saturday, but lie had been in touch with the newly-formed Leeston Club, whose ground would not be in order until May 2. It was decided to give Baring Square the bye on that date, with .permission to play at Leeston in order to help the game in that district. It was decided to purchase material for a new set of posts and nets, and fco arrange a working bee to make these on Saturday. The first meeting of the Management Committee w’as arranged for April 20,

and the next meeting of delegates on April 27. Entries for the senior grade competition will close with the secretary at o p.m. on Mouday, April 27.
