(United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 10.30 a.m.) MADRID, April 14. As the vanguard of a procession celebrating the fifth anniversary of the Republic passed a grandstand in which the acting-President (Senor Barrios) and other members of the Cabinet and members of the diplomatic corps were seated, two explosions, presumably detonators, occurred at tho rear of the grandstand. Infantrymen broke their ranks to protect Senor Barrios, an attack upon whom was feared. One policeman was shot in the abdomen during the melee. The crowd became panic-stricken and dispersed but returned when they saw the damage was negligible.
