WALKER DEFEATS MAHOMET. CHRISTCHURCH, November 11. George Walker beat Fezal Mahomet in a professional wrestling contest tonight. Fezal was disqualified in the fourth round for persisting with a strange hold which, the referee had ordered him to break. It was a, poor contest. The wrestlers were counted out by the spectators. No falls were secured by either wrestler. WADE DEFEATS HOPKINS. NAPIER, Nov. 11. a Exploiting the pile-driver in the fifth round, Wade beat Hopkins in a professional wrestling contest. Hopkins was unable to continue. McCREADY BEATS BLOMFIELD. AUCKLAND, Nov. 11. Although he lost the decision on points in one of the best wrestling matches in Auckland for years, Lofty Blomfield, earned the distinction of being the first in New Zealand to gain a fall over Earl McCready. Blomfield
secured a fall in the third round, when he threw McCready several times with headlochs, and then slammed him to get a fall with a body press, amid loud cheering. McCready evened in the seventh round, applying successively head scissors, headlock throws, a slam, and finally a body press. McCready was affected with eye trouble from a southern bout. He receiyed medical treatment before entering the ring.
BLOMFIELD BEATS CATALINO.
STRATFORD, Nov. 11. In a bright wrestling bout Blomfield beat Catalino by two falls to one. ANDRESEN BEATS CATALINO. WELLINGTON, Nov. 11. By two falls to one, Ole Andresen beat Tony Catalino in a wrestling bout to-night, the first fall against Catalino being a penalty for not breaking a stranglehold. The match lacked the sparkle of the recent Wellington exhibitions, being slowed up by a good deal of punching and slapping.
