NEW ZEALAND WOMEN’S TOUR. THE NEW SOUTH WALES MATCH!. SYDNEY, November 1.. A lawn tennis match between NeW South Wales and thd touring New Zealand women’s team was commenced at the White City courts to-day in warm weather. Finding the conditions strange, the New Zealanders failed to win a match. Their form was below their best. Practice since their arrival in Sydney has been curtailed owing to rain. Results:— Singles. Miss Al. G. Menzies (New South Wales) defeated Miss T. Poole (New Zealand), 6-3, 6-0. Miss V. Sehvin (New South Wales) defeated Miss I. Poole (New Zealand), 6-0, 7-5. Miss T. Coyne (New South Wales) defeated Miss D. Miller (New Zealand), 6-3, 6-1. Miss N. Vickery (New South Wales)
defeated Miss E. Rudkin (New Zealand), 2-6, 6-4, 6-1. Miss A. Hattersley (New South Wales) defeated Miss D. Nicholls (New Zealand), 6-4, 6-4. Doubles. Misses Coyne and Menzie9 defeated Misses I. and T. Poole, 6-1, 6-4. Misses Hattersley and Selwin defeated Misses Nicholls and Miller, 6-4, 6-3.
