ST. LOUIS, October 31. A negro, John Henry Lewis ? of Phoenix, Arizona, gained, the decision over Bob Olin, winning the world light heavy-weight title in a 15-round bout.

STIRLING BEATS FORWARD.

In a professional welter-weight boxing contest, Don Stirling (Dominion welter-weight champion) defeated Dick Forward on a technical knock-out in the eighth of a 15-round bout. In the eighth round Stirling dropped Forward three times, but Forward fought back pluckily. When Stirling sent him down again with a heavy right, the police signalled to end the bout.
