MINISTER INDUCTED
ORDINATION AT METHVEN There was a very large congregation of members and adherents at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Methven, when the ordination and induction of the Rev. L. V. Bibby, the newly-appointed minister of the charge, took place. Among those present were the Revs. A. D. Kirkland (Moderator), D. D. MacLaehlan (fYshburton South), D'. B. Ashford (Rakaia), H. S. Hamilton (All Saints’, Methyen), W. A. Mills (Methodist, Metliven),, and N. Oakley (North-East Valley, Dunedin). An apology was received from the Rev. R. S. Watson (Ashburton). The Moderator conducted the ordination and induction sei-vices, and the Revs. D. D. MacLaehlan and 3>. B. Ashford delivered the addx-ess and welcomed Mr Bibby into the Presbytery. An adjournment was then made to the Sunday School room, where a social was held and an opportunity given to all to meet the new minister. Mi* H. E. A. Lock presided. He read a letter from the Rev. R. Moi-gan, of Opotoki, late minister at Methven, who sent best wishes to.the new minister and the congi-egation. Addx-esses of welcome to Mr Bibby were delivered by the Revs. MacLachlan, Oakley, Mms and Hamilton and Mr Lock. '
