MOTOR-CYCLING.
ASHBURTON CLUB’S RUN. The opening run for the season of the Ashburton Motor-Cycle Club was held at the farm of the patron (Mr H. Brown), Seaview, yesterday, in fine weather. There was a comparatively small number of competitors, but competition was keen for the races on the programme. There was a large following of club supporters in cars. In an attempt to lower the record time over the hurly-burly course, E. Smith equalled the record of lrhin 18sec.
