ROYAL WEDDING

It is officially announced that the marriage of the Duke of Gloucester and Lady Alice Douglas-Montagu-Scott will he solemnised at Westminster Abbey on November 6.
Tt is understood that the Archbishop of Canterbury (the Most Rev. Dr. Cosmo Lang) will officiate.
“The Times” says the date of the wedding is slightly earlier than was generally expected. It is understood that when his Majesty returns to the Palace on Saturday, September 28, he will hold a Privy Council meeting in order to give formal consent to tho marriage under the Great Seal.
Preliminary details of the ceremonial, which are expected closely to follow that of the Duke of Kent’s wedding, are already under discussion.
