LONG RAIL-MOTOR TRIP. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 23. The possibilities of the sedan type of rail-motor vehicle were again demonstrated to-day, when the car used by the General Manager of Railways (Mr G. H. Mackley) made the trip from Wellington to Auckland in the actual runnihg time of a little more than 10 hours. The party left Wellington at 7.50 a.m. and reached the Auckland railway station at 7.29 p.m. Stops totalling 94. minutes were made on the way, so the actual running time was 10 hours 5 minutes. Mr Mackley expressed! complete satisfaction with the running of the car, and said that at 50 miles an houi the party rode in the utmost comfort.
