FIRST TEST MATCH TO-DAY. THE COMPETING TEAMS. (United Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, August 10. A severe storm this evening, with rain continuing, has made the ground heavy fov the first Test match between the All Blacks and Australia to-mor-row. Both teams are fit and are confident ' of victory. The referee will be Mr Roy Cooney, who officiated in the match against the Western Districts at Orange and at the first game against New South Wales. After three strenuous days of training the team rested to-day. All of them went out of the city, the majority to play golf. Mr A. J. • Geddes (manager) is satisfied with their condition, in spite of the period of enforced idleness. Mcean's boil has completely healed, and Kilby is experiencing no further trouble with the strained ligament in his knee. Following aire the teams:— Australia. Full-back—Ross (captain). The injury to Kilby's knee is more troublesome than was at first anticipated, and he will not play in the test match to-day. Corner will replace Kilby. Kilby is in bed and has been advised to remain in Sydney for treatment and complete rest. It is not expected therefore, that he will go to Queensland with the rest of the team to-mor-row night. It is not yet certain whether the eartilege has been affected. HEAVY RAIN FORECAST. WARNINGS OF FLOODS ISSUED. (Received This Day, 10.5 a.m.) • SYDNEY, This Day. The weather is overcast and the forecast is fo'r heavy rain on the coast and inland; in fact, flood warn* ings have been issued by the weather bureau. During the next 36 hours, says the official report, there will be gales, heavy seas, and prospects of flooded rivers along the coast.
