WRESTLING.

STENNING TO MEET WALKER. The Ashburton Wrestling Association has been fortunate in securing Carl Stenning (list 71bs) champion of South Africa, tor his first appearance in this country. He is scheduled to meet George Walker (Auckland) British Empire champion, at His Majesty's Theatre next Wednesday night. Walker is paying his first visit to the South Island this season and is reported to be at the top of his form and from reports that Dan Koloff has sent across from Australia regarding Stenning, who has wrestled there on his way to New Zealand, the bout should be exciting and strenuous and hold the public interest throughout. Koloff states "that Stenning is youthful, well built, quick and clever and considers him to be better than the famous Chinese, Wong Buk Cheung." The box plans are open at McElhinney's.
