THE WEATHER.
ANOTHER.BRILLIANT DAY. Another brilliant day was experienced in Ashburton to-day after a frost of 10 degrees intensity this morning. The sun shone, in, a cloudless sky, and there was little or no wind. The barometric pressure this morning was 29.56 inches, compared with 29.97 inches yesterday morning. Maximum and minimum readings of the thermometer yesterday and last night were 46.5 degrees and 25.2 degrees.
TO-DAY'S FORECAST.
(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON. This Day. The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather:—; General inference: A very slight depression is crossing the South Island, but pressure is high ever the north Tasman Sea and the North Island. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows: Light to moderate variable winds, with northerlies prevailing at first. Weather mainly fair to fine, but some coastal showers likely later. Seas moderate.
