JAPAN'S BUDGET.
HUGE DEFICIT INEVITABLE. ARMY'S DEMANDS TO BE SATISFIED. (United Press Association—Copyright). TOKIO, September 12. Mr K. Minister for Finance, in a statement to the press, said that the requirements of national defence must have priority in the forthcoming budget. This necessity would postpone the plans for financial readjustment.
This is clearly the result of his interview with General Araki, Minister for Defence. The extraordinary expenditure on the army and navy is estimated at 800,000,000 yen, and an enormous budget deficit is inevitable.
