Maine, which for over eighty years has had State prohibition, became the twenty-sixth State to ratify the Repeal Amendment to-day.' The almost complete returns indicate a two-to-one victory for the "wets."
Action in the required thirty-six States is now virtually assurred of being taken by November 7, with complete ratification within a month after that date.
