WOMEN'S MATCHES. The grounds in good order for the continuation of tlie Ashburton Women's Hogkey Association's competition matches on Saturday afternoon. Results areas follow: Senior A Grade. " . High School met Hinds, at Hinds, and tlie game which was even throughout, resulted in a draw, each side scoring two goals. The passing was particularly good, and tlie play generally of an open character. The goals for High School weae obtained by M. Carson, while for Hinds F. Donaldson scored twice. Mr A. C. MoHardy was referee. Playing at Ashburton, Tinwald had a decisive victory oyer Kereone (Rakaia) by eight goals to nil. F. Gudsell and M. Gudsell each shot three goals, and M. Hulme and J. Ross orio each. Mr E. M. Gabites was referee. Senior B Grade. Springburn defeated- High School Old Girls by the narrow margin of one goal, the scores being three and two respectively. M. Smith,/ N. Moody, and E. Armstrong each shot a goal for Springburn, and B'. Brand and' E. Jary shot a goal each for Old Girls. Mr Gabites was referee.
In the match between Lauriston and Ashburton the former won by seven goals to one. Four goals were shot by S. Law, two by E. Maidens, and one by M. Letham for Lauriston, Ashburton's ,goal being obtained by K. Hyland. Mr W. B. Thomas was referee.
Rakaia defeated Baring Square by five goals to one in the match played at Rakaia.
junior Grade. A very even contest resulted between Methven and High School A when these teams met, the former winning by one goal to nil. The deciding score was obtained by J. Cleave. Mr S. W. Gower was referee. Loweliffe beat Mount Somers by three goals to one. Hinds beat High School B by default. ;.\
