ANGLING.

TWO RIVERS IN FLOOD. There was practically no fishing done ,iu the Ashburton Comity over the week-end for both the Rakaia and Rangitata Rivers came down in flood early yesterday morning, as a result of the strong north-west wind on (Saturday. The Rakaia was discoloured on Saturday and there were veiy few, if any, anglers out. No reports of catches at the Rangitata before yesterday have come to hand. The Ashburton was fishable over the week-end, but only a little fly-fishing was done there. The Rakaia and Rangitata are still very dirty, according to reports received to-day by the secretary of the Ashburton Acclimatisation Society. The Ashburton river remains fishable.
