THE NEW CHAMPION. LONG MATCH WITH RAY. (Received This Day, 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, April 9. A. Dailey, who has won the title of professional golf champion, at the age of 24, is a Scottish professional at Halifax. He jumped to fame in his first national competition. At Roehampton he led the field in the qualifying stage with 141 and romped through the match stages after the veteran Ray had taken him to the twenty-second hole in the first round.
