£682 OUTSTANDING IN BOROUGH. SUM OF £1629 TAKEN YESTERDAY. Yesterday was the last day.oy which Borough rates could be paid vithout incurring the 10 per cent, penalty and £1629 Us 9d was paid in at the Council office. The amount outstanding is £682 Is, a larger sum than that outstanding at the corresponding, time last year. THE COUNTY LEVIES. NEARLY £11,500 COLLECTED. The following are the figures in connection with the collecting of this year's County rates. The corresponding figures of last year are given in parentheses for the purpose of comparison. General rates levied £24,084 3s 7d (£29,700 16s 9d). , , Rates paid to date, £9,762 16s 8d (£10,852, 18s 7d). Rates outstanding, £14,321 6s lid £18,847 18s 2d). . • Water charges levied £4,255 16s 6d (£4,242 17s 6d). Water charges- paid to date, £1,671 12s 9d (£1,428 5s 6d). Water charges outstanding, £2,584 3s 9d (£2,815 12s).
