THE ASHBURTON MARKET. FAT SHEEP PRICES FIRM. There was a good yarding and a large attendance of buyers at the AshIn- rton Saleyards this morning. Prices for fat sheep were firm, and most lots v. ent to local butchers, fceing too highly priced for exporters. Five head of cattle were yarded, four being passed in. Following are the prices to noon:— Fat wethers—9 at 23, 15 at 22s 9d, 5 at 26s 3d, 3 at 26s 4d, 11 at 33s 6d, 1 at 23s 6d, 9 at 235, 9at 235, 1 at 28s, 2 at 24s 6d. 6 at 25s 9d. Fat Ewes—s at 26s 3d, 7 at 225, 7 at 19s, 6 at 22s lid, 12 at 17s 3d, 11 at 16s 3d, 12 at 2ls Bd, 11 at 8s 7d, 1 at 21s 3d, 8 at 2s 3d, 7 at 22s Id, 6 at 20s, 5 at 20s 2d, 5 at 18s, 6 at 25s 3d, 3 at 17s 6d, 11 at 21s 9d, 10 at 21s Id, 6 at 18s, 6 at 21s 4d, 5 at 11s 6d. Fat lambs—l at 25s 3d 6 at 275. Cattle—l springing heifer at £7.
