Heaving succeeded in rendering these' vessels idle, it is expected that the seamen will now wait for the owners tomake the next move. The union now has a large number of. unemployed within it's ranks. ' STEWARDS’ OFFER REFUSEDMORETON BAY LAID UP. (Received This Day, 10.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. A meeting of the Stewards’ Union decided that the union should 'offer a full complement of stewards to the steamer Moreton Bay. The Commonwealth Shipping Board refused the offer because of its decision ,to lay up tne vessel for four months.
