CALCUTTA, January 9. - Frank Birtles, the Australian motorist, has arrived here after an exciting trans-Asian tour. Among other experiences, while sheltering from a blinding Snowstorm, brigands robbed him of liis blankets. Leaving Teheran, he found a. marooned car, in which were seven Persians frozen to death as a result of Hardships. (Birtles spent Christmas Day in hospital at Quetta, and reached Delhi on. the same set of wheels as he started on. -
