POSSESSION OF TANGIER* (Per Press Association — PARIS, December 26. The “Figaro’s” special correspondent at Madrid interviewed King Alfonso, who said: “It is to the interest of France that Tangier should be Spanish. _ France knows well that all aggressive moyements originate m Tangier. Abdel Krim is a case in point- Tanker, it left outside the Spanish Protectorate, will continue: to be a point of depaiture for rebellious movements against Spain and Franco. The great number of square kilometres of territory which* 1 am ready to give France in return for other advantages is a proof of my friendly and abiding faith m France. Our interests are the same in Morocco; we must pacify the entire zone as soon as possible, and to this end I hope, we may reach accord with France at the/ earliest possible date.”
