LOSS OF MEMORY.
A MAN APPEALS TO POLICE. PALMERSTON NORTH CASE. (Per Press Association). PALMERSTON N., December 27. A strange case of lost memory is' occupying the attention of tlie Palmerston North police. On Sunday morning a man walked into the watchhouse, seeking bis own whereabouts. ‘<Q an you tell me what, town this is?” he asked the constable in charge. “I’ve got no idea liow I got here. All the information the stranger could 1 give was that lie thought he had been working in an office m Auckland.. He is now in hospital receiving medical attention. The police description of mm is as follows f Age about 30 years, height sft 9in., round featured, clean shaven, pale complexion, of strong bmld and smart appearance, hair brushed back, his suit is navy blue and he wears patent leather black shoes; an overcoat in his possession as of grey check tweed while a grevish brown hat bears the name of an* Auckland firm. A cigarette case in his possession is initialled “C.L.”
