PRISONERS SENTENCED

THREE THEFT CASES. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. At the Supreme Court James Laurenson, aged 35, for theft from the Postal Department, and forgery, was sentenced to reformative treatment for two years. Albert Charles Thompson, aged 25, for theft from the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association, received a similar sentence. Robert Henry Edgeworth, aged 50, for theft of a bicycle, was sentenced to two yeara imprisonment with hard labour.
